How to bleed brakes using a pneumatic brake bleeder

A pneumatic brake bleeder uses compressed air to create a vacuum to suck the brake fluid into the container and remove air in the brake fluid system. One person alone can bleed the brakes on a car. No need for an extra person to sit inside the care and push the brake.

When using a pneumatic brake bleeder it is important, that the brake pedal is not touched during bleeding the brakes. It is recommended to clean the bleeder after use.

We give you 6 easy steps to bleed your brakes using the JWL brake bleeder.

1

Connect the brake bleeder to your compressed air system.

Attach the brake bleeder to compressed air

2

Push the brake bleeder rubber pipe on to the brake system plug. When attached, loosen the plug.

3

Activate the handle of the brake bleeder. The brake fluid is sucked into the container by a vacuum.

There is no need to hold the handle to keep it activated. It will stay in position until released.

4

The clear hose allows you to check the brake fluid for air bubbles. Stop bleeding the brakes when there are no more air in the fluid.

Tighten the plug on the brake caliper and remove the rubber pipe.

5

Repeat the procedure from 1-4 on each brake caliper.

Be aware that the level of brake fluid in the brake bleeder container must not reach the top of the container. Otherwise you might risk brake fluid to leak through the lid.

JWL Brake bleeder is available in a version with safety valve preventing brake fluid to leak.
